What it really means to do your own research

We’ve spent years on the ground in Seoul.
Visiting clinics.
Learning from doctors.
Speaking with patients.
Immersed in the industry. Every day.

For us, “doing the research” has nothing to do with scrolling.

It’s first-hand experience.

Know who your doctor is

Understand their years of experience, specialties, and treatment preferences.

Understand the treatments a clinic offers

You’ll be recommended what they have, not always what’s best.

Know their Cultural and Ethnic Competence

Understand how often have they treated others with similar skin tone, facial structure to yours. Beauty standards are different everywhere, your doctor should understand the nuance.

Do they use AI generated before and afters?

Happens more than you think.

This is just a start

This is just scratches the surface of the research that we do every day at Docent.

But hey, you could always trust that influencer that got a free service to post about how cool the reception area is.
