Considerations

  • All sales are final.

Due to the nature of our services — which involve dedicated time, research, and preparation that begins at the point of booking — all payments made to DocentCo are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.

This policy applies to all Docent services without exception, including but not limited to consultations, clinic briefs, appointment reservations, accompanied clinic visits, airport transportation coordination, package services, WhatsApp support, and custom skincare recommendations.

  • Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule a consultation, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance at aj@docentco.com or via WhatsApp. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a new time, subject to availability. Rescheduling is not guaranteed and does not entitle you to a refund if a new time cannot be arranged.

  • Cancellations by Docent

In the rare event that Docent cancels a confirmed booking, a full or partial refund will be issued to the original payment method.

  • Third-party services

For services coordinated on your behalf — including clinic appointments, wellness bookings, and ground transportation — refund eligibility is determined entirely by the respective third-party provider. Docent is not responsible for and cannot guarantee refunds from any third-party provider.

  • If you have any questions about these policies, please contact us at aj@docentco.com.

    Introduction

DocentCo ("Docent," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent consulting service based in Seoul, South Korea. We provide experience-based guidance to individuals seeking aesthetic and wellness treatments in Seoul through our website at docentco.com and through direct communications via email and WhatsApp. These Terms govern your use of our website and all services we provide.

    1. Important notices and disclaimers

Docent is not a medical provider. Nothing provided through our website, consultations, written materials, WhatsApp communications, or any other format constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind.

All guidance provided by Docent is informational and experiential in nature. We share our independent perspective as individuals with extensive first-hand experience navigating Seoul's aesthetic landscape as paying clients. We are not physicians, nurses, or licensed healthcare professionals, and we do not hold ourselves out as such.

All medical advice, clinical decisions, and treatment recommendations must come from a licensed physician. You should always consult with your own doctor before pursuing any aesthetic or medical procedure. Do not delay seeking professional medical advice or disregard such advice based on anything you have read or heard from Docent.

The contents of this website and all Docent communications are provided for informational purposes only and are not intended to substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

    2. Our services

Docent provides the following services, subject to availability and these Terms:

Consulting services, including one-on-one consultations, written clinic briefs, and custom skincare recommendations. Accompanied clinic visits, where a Docent team member is present at your appointment in a support capacity only. Ground transportation coordination through a trusted third-party provider. WhatsApp-based trip support during your time in Seoul.

By engaging any Docent service, you acknowledge and agree that Docent does not control, direct, or guarantee the conduct, judgment, or outcomes of any clinic, physician, wellness provider, transportation provider, or other third party. All third-party services are provided independently of Docent, and your use of those services is subject to their own terms and conditions.

    3. Independence and no clinic partnerships

Docent operates entirely independently. We have no financial relationships, referral arrangements, commission structures, preferred partner agreements, or any other form of compensation arrangement with any clinic, physician, treatment provider, or wellness operator we recommend or coordinate with. Our recommendations are based solely on our own independent evaluation and first-hand experience. We do not accept payment from any third party in exchange for recommendations, referrals, or mentions on any Docent platform.

    4. Privacy

Please read our Privacy Policy, available at docentco.com, for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in connection with our services.

    5. Payment

All services are invoiced directly and payment is due via bank transfer prior to service confirmation. A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received in full. You agree to pay all fees as presented to you at the time of booking.

If you have a dispute regarding any charge, you must notify Docent in writing at aj@docentco.com within thirty days of the date the charge was made.

Docent reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion. In the event Docent cancels a confirmed booking, a full refund will be issued within seven business days.

You may use our website and services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use our services in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations; to impersonate Docent, its team members, or any other person or entity; to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in connection with a booking or consultation; to engage in any conduct that could harm, disrupt, or interfere with the use of our website or services by others; or to reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from our website without express written permission from Docent.

    8. User communications and feedback

Any information you submit to Docent through our website, email, or WhatsApp — including questions, comments, skin concerns, or feedback — is submitted voluntarily. You represent that any information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not infringe the rights of any third party. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

When Docent coordinates third-party services on your behalf — including clinic appointments, wellness bookings, or ground transportation — those services are provided by independent operators. Docent is not a party to the relationship between you and those providers and assumes no liability for their conduct, service quality, or outcomes.

    11. Termination

Docent reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time and for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

    12. Disclaimers and no warranties

Your use of our website and services is at your sole risk. Our website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Docent makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any content on our website or provided through our services. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Docent, its founder, team members, and affiliates expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Docent, its founder, team members, and affiliates shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages of any kind, including but not limited to damages for loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, or emotional distress, arising out of or in connection with your use of our website or services, your reliance on any recommendations or guidance provided by Docent, or any outcomes related to treatments, clinics, or providers we have recommended or coordinated, even if Docent has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall Docent's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or our services exceed the total amount paid by you to Docent in the twelve months preceding the applicable claim.

    14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Docent, its founder, team members, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or relating to your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or any false or misleading information you provided to Docent in connection with a booking or consultation.

    15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, South Korea. By using our services, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

We encourage you to contact us directly at aj@docentco.com before initiating any formal dispute process. We will make good faith efforts to resolve any concern promptly and fairly.

    16. Changes to these terms
