Our team has reviewed countless provider profiles to understand multiple factors like specialties, board-certifications, lectures and seminars, advisory roles, certifications and memberships, exposure to foreign patients, and overall professional presence not just in Korea, but globally as well.

We keep up-to-date on both emerging innovations as well as the evolution of established treatments to understand what is meaningful and what is simply well-marketed.

Most importantly, we visit clinics unannounced, as paying clients. Just like you will. That way we can observe the transparency of care, competence of the staff, and how patients are truly treated. Our evaluation covers the entire patient journey: from initial contact and consultation structure to treatment, follow-up, and aftercare.

We take into account facility standards, the range of devices and technologies, and the direct involvement of doctors in the consultation process, including their proficiency in English.

Clinics that meet our standards are considered Docent approved and can be recommended through one of our services. Those that fall short simply won’t be mentioned or show up on any Docent platform.

Due to Korea’s strict defamation laws, we can’t call anyone out, but we also don’t waste attention on places that aren’t worth your time.
